As a long-time admirer of the music of U2, I especially enjoyed the performance of the tribute band ‘Elevation’ at ‘The Spot 2011’ party sponsored by a group of Dynamics Independent Software Vendors as part of Microsoft Convergence 2011. This performance was one of many highlights performed in the Keynotes, Concurrent Sessions, and Deep Dives that makes this conference a must-see event.
It was a ‘Beautiful Day’ as attendees learned the future vision of the Dynamics ERP and CRM platforms articulated by Krill Tatarinov and Steve Ballmer at the opening Keynote presentation.
Dynamics customers and partners may have ‘Found What They are Looking For’ with the unveiling of the Microsoft ERP Cloud Strategy orchestrated by the sounds of Office 365 in collaboration with Sharepoint, Exchange, and Lync on the Azure platform.
Rocketing straight to the top of the charts, the seminal product release of Microsoft CRM 2011 highlights the ‘Desire’ of organizations to unlock the productivity of sales people empowered by tools to manage their processes on a global scale.
Even with that success, many felt that ‘The Sweetest Thing’ was the seamless integration offered by the Dynamics Connector between CRM 2011 and the Dynamics ERP platforms demonstrated at the Microsoft Pavilion in the Expo Hall.
For long time fans the 10th anniversary of the purchase of Great Plains Software by Microsoft was celebrated with ‘Pride’ highlighted by the demo of soon to be released GP 2010 R2 features like s and Business Analyzer and Mulit-Company Reporting which are sure to be favorites on everyone’s playlist.
Building to a crescendo was the ‘Magnificent’ preview of Dynamics AX 2012 that was a harmonious display of the cutting-edge instruments of ‘Microsoft Kinect’ and ‘Project Crescent’ used to capture the innovative beats of human interaction with mission-critical systems and the presentation of key data metrics to make rapid, intelligent business decisions.
Acting in concert was the focus on Simplicity, Value, and Agility brought to the entire lineup of Dynamics CRM, AX, GP, SL, and NAV which are sure to be #1 hits for years to come.
And if all this didn’t make you ‘Blink’, Malcom Gladwell delivered the encore performance with a mind-blowing solo on Technology and Decision Making as he previewed his upcoming release, ‘Scorecasting’ in the closing Keynote.
When it is all said and done there should be no more ‘Mysterious Ways’ in how customers can meet their demanding business requirements with the Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions.
So if you missed all these fireworks, ‘Get on Your Boots’ and head to Houston for the next stop on the Microsoft Convergence Tour in 2012.
